Loose Watercolour Florals Workshop

Yoxall Parish Rooms (upstairs)

Wednesday 2nd July, 2025.

Yoxall Parish Hall, King Street, Yoxall, DE13 8NF.

6.30 pm - 8.30pm

Work from real life flowers to create loose botanical floral studies. This is an experimental session, and as such, you may not feel a frame is for you, so I am offering frames as an optional extra.

Enjoy creating watery effects with watercolour paint, using real flowers you can handle and get up close to study. You will study their form, colour, shape and textures. In this artist-led workshop, Bryony will show you how to see the relevant shapes and details to look out for in each plant form.

Improve your observational skills when you work in this fast-flowing and easy-to-draw style.

Explore watercolour materials on pre-stretched papers. Create a series of studies across up to 2 sheets over the evening. Have fun experimenting with 'wet on wet' and layering techniques, and consider positive as well as negative spaces when you create your florals.

If you wish to create a framed outcome, frames will be on sale from Bryony and she will help you cut your artwork to size ready to frame. (Frames will be £4 on the night, cash or card acceptable).

All materials are provided, no experience necessary, this is a beginner-friendly session.

Parking is free at the local village carpark one minute away on Sudbury Road.
