Mini Paintings Watercolour & Gouache Workshop

‘Mini Paintings’ is a workshop where I will show you how to paint a beautifully delicate butterfly for a mini box frame.
These are going to be perfect gift-sized artworks, in time to pop in the stocking or post. With plenty of colourful inspiration to choose from, these can be non-specific butterflies, but I shall teach you how to make them look realistic and work from reference material as a base for your artwork. We will be using a mix of watercolour pencils, watercolour paints and gouache. All materials provided, including your sweet little box frame.
All materials are provided, no experience necessary, this is a beginner-friendly session.

This workshop, hosted by Vintage Spotty Dotty, is perfect for the run-up to Christmas, where you can get together with friends and make some gorgeous greetings cards which are personal, hand-made, and fun. You will be using collage, gouache and acrylic paint, plus there’s the opportunity to add a bit of extra sparkle. Use Bryony’s example designs as inspiration or create your own, on either one or two cards, depending on time. There will be worksheets, examples, and templates to help you get started. Beginner-friendly, but this does involve some hand-painting as well as collage! Come and have some Christmassy fun.
All materials are provided, no experience necessary, this is a beginner-friendly session.

Learn to create a sweet Christmas robin in needle-felting. This will be perfect to make into a brooch or magnet. (Materials to create either will be provided when you finish your bird). Packs of appropriate coloured wool top fibres are provided but you can blend in other elements as you see fit. Each person will create their individual robin, but with lots of guidance from Bryony on the night!

Christmas Robin Needlefelting Workshop

Using mixed media (paper, paint and pencils), we will be creating a field of poppies, perfect for a frame. Bryony will be showing you how to recreate a drift of flowers that have a perfect poppy plant feel. We will also be using collage to create larger poppies for the foreground of this artwork. Frames will be provided to finish off your artwork professionally! Spaces are limited, suitable for all levels.

Bring along all your collected bits from Christmas wrappings! We will explore colour themes and create a unique and attractive woven artwork in a frame. Fun to make, personalised with your own elements however you wish. Bring along contributions to help your design fit a colour theme of choice. Alternatively, use materials provided by the teacher. This will be great fun and really tactile! Spaces are limited, suitable for all levels.
